About me, and why I created this podcast.
Nice to meet you. I'm Madeline Kardos, the creator and host of this podcast. I started PMM's Cup to explore the ins and outs of being a product marketing manager (PMM) and understand the value the role brings to an organization.
I'm a trained radio DJ and product marketer. What better way to learn about my own profession and use my skills in interviewing, audio recording, and editing than to start a podcast?
A brief Q&A:
Why did I create this podcast? When I began researching PMM roles and doing coffee chats with amazing people, I realized that a) I wanted to share my interviews with the world and b) that PMMs created content for other people and were never heard from or seen publicly. This was a way to spotlight their work.
Who is this podcast for? Anyone who is interested in product marketing, whether you're a fellow marketer, a founder, a scientist, a biochemist, an economist, whoever is curious to learn more.
Who am I, you ask?  By day, I'm a product marketer, helping early stage start-ups discover who their customers are, what they need, and how to communicate that in their own words.By night, I'm a lead vocalist and keyboard player in a rock band, a fiction writer, and a filmmaker.
Why PMM's Cup? That's a silly name. There are many business podcasts out there, but so many of them are formal and, frankly, not fun to listen to. PMM's Cup is my way of creating a casual experience for those trying to better educate themselves on the world of product marketing. Plus, it's my favorite cocktail.
